HEY THERE,
My name is Bella Lopez and I’m a Cuban-American Equity performer based in New York City.
I began singing at the age of 5 and was heavily involved in the South Florida theatre scene throughout my childhood. From the age of 10, I performed regionally at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Area Stage Company, Marquee Theatre Company, The Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Florida Children’s Theatre, and more. In 2017, I received the Best Young Actress award from BroadwayWorld Miami for my performance as Wendla in Spring Awakening at Area Stage Company.
I graduated with my BFA in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Throughout my time at Hartt, I was fortunate enough to be apart of a few zoom productions and my senior year I played “Mopsa” in our production of Head Over Heels, directed by Mayte Natalio. Following that production, I was able to be apart of some incredible opportunities such as the Goodspeed Opera House’s Festival of New Musicals in 2022 where I performed in “HOT” directed by Ann Yee. After my senior showcase and graduation, I spent my summer in New London, NH apart of the New London Barn Playhouse’s 90th resident acting intern company. I’m so excited to be returning to New Hampshire to play “Nina Rosario” in In The Heights at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse!
I have a strong passion for pop music and have taken a lot of influence in my singing from artist like Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Demi Locato, Tori Kelly etc, I love Contemporary and Modern Musical Theatre, and have enjoyed finding my voice in Jazz, Opera and Retro pop.
When I’m off stage, you can find me reading the newest thriller, listening to Beyonce and watching marvel movies!
